After training at the Istituto d’Arte per la ceramica, in Faenza, Italy, I set up the Piccolpasso workshop in Hampshire making my handmade tiles.

Having previously focused on surface decoration of the classic square, my recent work looks at tile shape and ways of creating movement on the tiled surface. Just as colour and texture enhance the surface, so shape brings in a third dimension with many exciting new possibilities.

My Workshop is named after a 16th century Italian, Cipriano Piccolpasso, who wrote 'The Potter's Art' published in 1548.

Piccolpasso also means ‘little step'.
